For me, there were of course a few of the small things, and the fact that my parents argued... but what made things worse was that I couldn't understand why these "small" things would take such a great affect on me.  If anything, it was made worse just because I couldn't figure out what was wrong...

Of course, I passed out of the phase, it was probbaly mostly hormones if anything... but who knows... :).  There was no one particular thing that really triggered it all...  it was a very gradual process in, and a gradual proess out :)

it feels good to be depressed (to me it does)
everytime i get depressed, its like "shit, i hit rock bottom" again. then i realise theres only up to go and i kinda like that feeling. knowing something good is about to come my way. and that usually brings me outa my rut. so really, im only depressed for like 10 minutes each time. lol

I thought i knew alot, until someone who knew more told me i didnt.

But I had a few tumors at an early age, and they keep coming back and no one knows why. Abusive mother. Molested by a friend, which almost turned into rape.

Oh, and I should add that I'm only open about it through years of therapy. At least with the molesting thing. The mother and tumors have just always been a part of life.

but the causes were

1) childhood upbringing mistakes my parents (predominantly father) that snowballed into gigantic social failures and snowballed further into worse

2) continued inertia and poor parenting later on

3) lack of people to be close with
