You just agreed that the Executive branch has absolutely no say over anything regarding fiscal or monetary policy.

Paul Volcker says you're completely full of shit.

I didn't agree to anything. I never changed my tune.

I said Bush and his cabinet are not in charge of fiscal or monetary policy. Read that carefully.

You're the nut trying to pin everything on Bush. It's the whole point of your thread lol.

I didn't agree to anything. I never changed my tune.

Yes you did.

You said yes to this:

"So you're arguing that the Executive branch has absolutely no say over anything regarding fiscal or monetary policy?"

I said Bush and his cabinet are not in charge of fiscal or monetary policy. Read that carefully.

Monetary? Not directly in terms of interest rates, but their actions for fiscal do.

You're the nut trying to pin everything on Bush. It's the whole point of your thread lol.

Apparently you failed to notice where I said the answer was 'Both" meaning Yes and No. Furthermore, you failed to notice where I stated PARTIAL.

Claim I'm wrong all you want, but when you refuse to answer these two questions, you're nothing but full of shit.

I'd love to see you explain how Bush pushing the debt to huge levels has no effect on the dollar and inflation, but you're just a goddamn troll that should have his internet removed permanently.

Furthermore, I'd love to see you explain how releasing billions of currency into the market from tax cuts and stimulus payments has no effect on inflation.

But you won't, because you're a troll

Run away! Don't answer the hard questions! Keep pretending You're right! Screw Reality! I don't need to know anything about economics!

Plug your ears!

Normally I'd start making threads mocking you on how you think that adding billions of dollars to the market has no impact upon inflation and that you believe that the expansion of debt has no effect upon our dollar, but you're already the laughing stock of the forum.

Some however, are directly due to Bush fiscal policy. For instance, the Bush administration has a quiet policy of letting the dollar slide. This in turn has led to increased inflation. As inflation rises, financial institutions such as hedge funds and large colleges with large endowments seek to preserve the wealth of their investments. They do so by hedging against the dollar. A common example is of gold. People buy gold to preserve the value of the wealth as the dollar decreases. Oil has current been one of these assets. So as inflation rises due to declining dollar as well as the stimulus and tax cuts by Bush, large amounts of money flow into oil to preserve wealth, thus driving up prices.

Read what you said.

Bush fiscal policy?

Bush is letting the dollar slide?

Your crazy shit doesn't make any sense at all. Bush isn't in charge of fiscal or monetary policy.

Bush fiscal policy?

Bush is letting the dollar slide?

Troll = Fail

You can keep saying that, but you'll still be wrong.

No. If he were responsible for it, then the prices wouldn't be higher in other countries than it would be here. Besides, why only blame Bush? I'm no fan of his, but people act like he is the only person in the country with any power. What about congress? Checks and balances?

Keep demonstrating your ignorance by blaming Bush for fiscal and monetary decisions taken by other branches of government and independent agencies that is not within the power of the Executive branch to control. Bush is not a dictator, nor is he an economic expert. We got different branches, departments, and agencies for a reason.

Obviously he is. He also invented AIDS and is the sole driving force behind Global Warming. The Black Plague? Cancer? MTV? All his doing.

His administration is partially responsible due to the policies already outlined prior in the thread.

I'm not denying that. I'm also, concurrently, being satirical because I'm just that talented.
