Some people here argue that President Bush is responsible for high gas prices and some argue that he's not.

So what's your take?

Like always, I'll give the correct answer after several posts and votes.

I don't think that he is, how could he single-handedly screw up the international petrol market?

How is he responsible for the price of gas?
He doesn't excavate it out of the ground, and it isn't his fault that the world is slowly running out of it and so the price is going up.
It's going up in EVERY country. Not just America.

So I am saying no. As much as I blame him for many many things, high gas prices is not one of them.

Gas prices will always be as high as they are now, if not higher.

Based off of what I know, Bush may have influenced issues surrounding our prices going up when they did.  However, I'm not going to blame it on him because we still have it way better than many other places.

Where do we go when we just don't know,
And how do we relight the flame when its cold.
Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing,
And when will we learn to control?

I'm still confused on the issue, If he had not of threatened Iran i think the prices may be down a tad and the Iraq war has seriously hurt oil production in some way.

I'll just say that the answer for now is a hell of a lot more complicated then the arguments you people are giving.
