yes, but those cells divide and become a baby. if you remove them, it's murder. But, that's just my view on the subject. It doesn't mean I'm right, and it doesn't mean that I'm wrong.

No, they're supposed to divide and become a baby. It's not garunteed. At that point, it's still a free-floating ball of cells and could be swept out of the uterus during the menstrual cycle.

So if I killed a homeless man who has no friends or family, it'd be morally acceptable?

Why not? Who's gonna give a shit?

Society. When there is no living relatives to charge you for murder, the charges are pressed by the people. So, why is it that it's not okay to kill a homeless man that no one cares about, but it's fine to kill an unborn child?

You're taking life, regardless of who cares about it.

i think that men shouldn't fight for pro-choice, because you genuinely can't understand what it means to have a life growing inside of you. and for that matter, if a woman has never been pregnant or had an abortion, i don't think she should either. i think you should go through it before you advise others to do the same, as with anything else.

I fight for civil liberties, thank you. I think the government should keep its laws off of people's bodies. Lessaiz faire, I say.

If that is a human embryo then absolutely.

Children look like full grown adults and we recognize it is simply a younger state, are you saying all pro choice individuals are so simple minded that they cannot logically understand that a fetus is a younger point of development because they don't look the same?

I guess an acorn and oak tree are two different things as well, thats why we have acorn trees after all.

Except that the fetus is its own body and you are ok with needles, vacumes, and corrosive injections to act on that body without it's consent.

Hands off, unless you say its ok then oppress all you want.

That's another thing that really pisses me off about this a whole argument in general. Why is it solely the woman's choice? There was obviously a man involved somewhere.

I know if I got a woman pregnant I would be pissed to find out she had an abortion. It would be just as much my child as hers.

And absolutely. Just because something doesn't look like you doesn't mean it isn't the same.

Okay so it's "murder". Why is "murder" wrong in this case?

I mean if I killed you, you wouldn't give a shit. The only ones who'd care are your friends and family.

The only one who can really bond with an unborn baby is the mother, and if she doesn't want it, then why not kill the bastard? Who is it hurting?

So if I killed a homeless man who has no friends or family, it'd be morally acceptable? I don't think so.

The presence of loved ones does not make murder acceptable. Nice try though.

FP

You are equating a man who has experienced life and feared death with a collection of cells with a semblance to amoeba. C'mon now.

I do NOT see how you could call it MURDER. I can see how some people might be against the idea of it, but to call it murder? That is just being ignorant.

To be honest, and not cold-hearted or anything, before the second trimester [which is the ONLY time I advocate abortion, barring those times when later terminations are required for health reasons] the "potential baby" is nothing more than a huge clump of slop, serving no purpose but to grow. It can not exist outside of the womb, it is NOT a baby.

We should call the women murderers as well, then, since during the process of impregnation millions of sperm cells are killed, and all those sperm cells are potential babies. Get some sense folks, before the second trimester, the so-called "baby" is a sac of cells.
